Attention entrepreneurs: This is the year of connected things.
If you’ve an idea for creating a smarter, safer, healthier and happier world, Silicon Labs wants to give you up to $10,000 in electronic components to bring your product to market.
Your IoT Connected World, a design contest co-sponsored by Silicon Labs and Digi-Key, is open to all inventors. You could be an experienced embedded system developer, or you could be a veteran maker, or someone just discovering an enthusiasm for tinkering with electronics. It’s a level playing field.
Because, all you have to do to enter is submit a short video (or some photos) and a description of your IoT project. (Note: Your design must contain a Silicon Labs microcontroller.) Visitors to the “Your IoT Contest” site will select 15 finalists, and expert judges will choose the three winners.
Winners can spend up to $10k on a wide array of building blocks to realize their visions: Microcontrollers ranging from 8 bits to 32 bits, wireless ICs, interface chips, optical and environmental sensors, and development tools for IoT applications, all available through Digi-Key. Silicon Labs’ Simplicity Studio development platform – downloadable at no charge – can help with evaluation, design and prototyping.
The contest runs now through July 17, with three winners to be announced on August 3, 2015.
Enter now and stake your claim to the future.
